what do you aspire to?

Being a better father and husband. I have not been a good son and I am
not much of a brother. I think I'm doing a pretty good job as a father.
As a husband I am almost passable.


what is your ultimate fantasy?

In 1991 I wanted to ask out the girl at Good Vibrations who sold me
tickets to see The Replacements. I did, eventually, and we've been
together ever since. I am an almost passable husband.


under what circumstances would you tell a lie?

I would tell a lie to save face and to save money in most retail
situations.


what qualities attract you to someone?

Quiet. Expertise. Irishness.


when you were growing up what did you want to be?

A writer.


what is your political affiliation?

I'm a Pedestrian.


has anyone ever said something about you to you that shocked you?

A professor of mine described me as "a bit shy" in a recommendation
letter. I was surprised that he saw me as shy, and I was shocked that he
would use the term in a letter of recommendation. As a kid I was
obnoxious and fortunately realized it before I finished high school.


do you like talking on the phone?

Nope.


did either of your parents ever talk to you about sex when you were
growing up?


Never.


what do you think happens to us after we die?

I believe in the soul's ascension to heaven.


do you like where you live?

I do. I live in the town where I grew up.


what sort of things would cause you to lose your temper?

When can't I work a tool the right way.


what do you want your last meal to be?

Burger, fries, beer.
